According to Andy, this was:
- very much cross-country, with terrain like our 8.1mile trail run
- there were no signs or marshalls
- no route available beforehand
- no map
- there was written instructions, which had to be read at every fence, stile, gate etc.
- only three water-stations
- only 12 runners (+ 26 walkers)
- it came in short at 24.1miles, so i needed to do 6 laps of the playing field to make the distance up to 26.2 miles
In summary, i would not recommend for future runners unless:
- you like navigation from instructions
- you enjoy rough terrain and scenic views
- you are tight (£3.50 entry)
- poor planner (entries on the day)
- dont want to travel far (its just north of Desborough - home in time for tea!)
- you hate the crowds
